Focused on what is needed

I build small, static brochure websites. Because most likely it will be all you'll ever need. It's a way to have a solid, fast, beautiful website that will let you put your best foot forward.

I deploy them on service called Cloudflare Pages. They are a big, reliable company. So big, they provide this service for .... and here's everyone's favorite word.... free. Yes, no hosting costs (still need a domain though).

I build them to be fast, optimised, seo friendly, responsive and beautiful.

Fast. Real fast

Small footprint. Heavily optimised. No databases. No bloating unused or haphazardly thrown in themes/scripts/styles. All is hand picked and crafted. That translates to performance.

Responsive

Each page and device size is designed indivitually. None of that dumping of content in and just making sure it "looks ok" on a mobile. No device size is an afterthought.

Beautiful

Each section on a website should have a clear purpose and goals. To achive and maximise them, each page is individually designed before being built. Clear in purpose, stunning visually.

Simple

No unnecessary server side rendering, databases, logins, plugins, themes, updates. Basic, simple server. This is a small brochure website. None of that's really needed. Lets keep it simple.

Important to know what it is not

My offer is tailored to a very specific need. And it simply might not be the thing you are looking for.

It's not a Content Management System.

No logging in and changing your content like Wordpress or similar. That requires databases, lots of code, plugins, updates etc. It's all time and cost. Something many never need. Think caffees, hairdressers, beauty salons, small restaurants etc. Many update 0-3 times a year.

It's not an application

Not a e-commerce site, catalog, blog, membership site, resource repository etc. It's just a collection of pages. Some fancy bits and bobs are possible, including pay buttons, social media widgets, maps, slideshows, etc - all that kind of stuff is no problem. But nothing too serious or scalable.

For the techies reading...

My default choice and offering at the moment is Nuxt - A Vue Framework. It's a Javascript framework, that compiles into a ready to serve static website. No backend needed. Larger data sets or content can be loaded from md, json, yaml or external apis. This site is build in Nuxt. Go on! Have a poke!

My default choice for hosting websites is a service called Cloudflare Pages. It's perfectly plenty for a brochure website and it's free. Allows for automatic build updates from git repo. There's a couple of simmilar services we could cosider if needs be. We can also use any other host of your choice!
